“Chinese groups are beginning to systematically assess investment opportunities offered by Greece,” Economy deputy Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas said on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters, Pitsiorlas said Greek authroties held a wide schedule of meetings with Chinese companies in the period May 11-16, to present the country as an investment destination “and to confirm the Greek government’s decision to support them in implementing their investment plans in Greece and to indicate what their next steps should be in order to accelerate their expansion in the country”.
Pitsiorlas said he met representatives from companies in the construction, infrastructure, energy, real estate, tourism, theme tourism, health tourism, health services, food, minerals and financial services sectors.
He presented a detail list of the Chinese companies he met in Beijing:
