Hellas Gold announced it will inaugurate its enrichment unit in Olympiada, Chalkidiki, in September 15 after completion of an 1.5-billion-euro investment project for the maintenance, repair, upgrading of the unit. In an announcement, Hellas Gold said representatives of the state, local authorities and workers will attend the inauguration ceremony.
This announcement came only a few days after Greece’s Environment and Energy ministry announced it would resort to arbitration against Hellas Gold “to safeguard the implementation of contract obligations by the company in an investment in Cassandra Mines”.
