Greek and Bulgarian Transport ministers will meet in Thessaloniki in Macedonia, Greece on Thursday to discuss the next steps for the creation of a railway connection between Kavala, Alexandroupolis, Burgas and Varna.
Christos Spirtzis and Ivaylo Moskovski will both focus on the framework of the bilateral cooperation and the search for joint financing.
The project to connect the Aegean with the Black Sea through the development of freight hubs at the ports will highlight the importance of combined transport to promote trade and economic development in the wider region, the ministry said.
