The decisions by Environment and Energy Minister George Stathakis, regarding the kind of contract and the geographical determination of sea areas in Western Greece (Ionian Sea) and Crete for the right to research and utilize hydrocarbons, have been publisehd in the Government Gazette.
Said sea areas lie to the north of Kefalonia, to the west of Lefkada and to the west of Corfu, in the Ionian Sea, as well as to the west and southwest of Crete.
The tendering procedure will be completed by the end of the year.
