Postlane Partners this week withdrew its bid for the Neorion shipyards on Greece’s Cyclades island of Syros, thereby leaving only one offer on the table for the troubled company, namely, by the Athens-based Onex group.
Postlane’s departure, in fact, was announced in letters addressed not only to the president of Neorion but to the Greek prime minister and relevant ministers as well.
Moreover, Postlane Partners announced it one-time rival in the prospective purchase of the shipyard, Onex, is better suited to ensure the viability and growth of the shipyard.
According to reports, even though other suitors are interested in assuming the company, not formal bids have been submitted.
