“We would like to annuounce that we are ready to start the work of restructuring the former Helliniko airport site. An emblematic project that will promote the country internationally,” Lamda Development CEO, Odisseas Athanasiou, noted on Friday in an interview with Action 24.
The project for the redevelopment of the former airport of is “a nationwide, national goal in which all companies in the country can participate, eg construction, cement manufacturers, power producers, infrastructure, etc.”, Athanassiou added.
He stressed that “the value of the properties in the neighbouring municipalities will increase dramatically as they will be next to the largest coastal park in the world and next to a project with the most modern infrastructure and greatest environmental sensitivity worldwide.”
Lamda Development΄s CEO also argued the project will open tens of thousands of jobs and will bring millions of high-level tourists a year, as well as new wealth in the country.
