Fourteen new shipping companies have been added to the 290 companies that have asked, during the past three years, a license to operate in Greek port of Piraeus. The operation licenses asked and obtained by the 14 management and ship-broking companies were signed, on Thursday, by the Shipping and Island Policy Minister Panagiotis Kouroumblis.
According to the official figures of the Bank of Greece, during the first 10 months of 2017 (January-October) the inflow of foreign exchange under the code “Transports” in the balance of service transactions reached 7,533.60 million euros. Compared to the amount of the corresponding period in 2016 (6,376.5 million euros), there is a significant increase in the inflow of foreign exchange in Greece, reaching 18.15%.
