Investor bids for Larnaka port and marina expected by Cyprus at end April

The two bids for the development of the port and the marina of Cyprus’ coastal city of Larnaka from Israel and China are expected to be submitted at the end of April, Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Marios Demetriades has said.

In statements following a meeting with Larnaka Mayor and Municipal Council, in Larnaka, on Tuesday, Demetriades said he wished that the process for the joint development of the Larnaka port and marina would have been completed before the end of his term of office, adding however that this was not possible.

He stressed that the process is nearing its completion expressing his belief that with persistence and patience this large project will be able to be implemented.
