Yet another petition, the third in a row, calling for the cancellation of the Hellinikon investment at the site of the former Greek airport was filed with Greece’s supreme administrative court, the Council of State, on Wednesday. The latest petition was filed by 32 residents of the Alimos, Voula, Glyfada, Piraeus and Kallithea municipalities, ANA reports.
The latest petition follows that of 507 residents of surrounding suburbs and four legal entities calling for the annulment of a presidential degree that approves the proposed development plan, as well as a petition by the “Panhellenic Network of Ecological Organisations” and “Ecological Cooperation” asking that the court revoke a section of the plan regarding a 24.3-hectare expanse of forest as unconstitutional and illegal.
