The first phase of connecting Greece’s Cyclades islands with the national power grid was completed on Wednesday after it hooked up with Mykonos, ANA reported, adding that the popular island is now connnected to the mainland by undersea cable via Syros.
Power on Greece’s islands will be cheaper and come from a more reliable source when drawing electricity frrom the mainland, according to officials.
