Greece will receive a total of 16.229 billion euros (at 2018 prices) from the Common Agricultural Policy over the period 2021-2027, according to the relevant European Commission proposals published on Friday. Of these 12.668 billion will be direct aid, 391 million euros will support the market and 3.170 billion euros will be spent on rural development, ANA’s Ch. Vassilaki reports.
Overall, the Commission proposed a budget of 365 billion euros for the Common Agricultural Policy of the new period, i.e. 5% less than in the 2014-2020 period.
