Greece is among the top foreign investors in Romania, ranking 18th as a customer of Romanian products and 20th as a supplier of Romania in 2017, the Greek embassy in Bucharest said in a report, according to ANA.
A total of 410 new Greek-owned companies were set up in Romania last year, totaling 6,988, with invested capital exceeding 1.81 billion euros. The Greek share in all foreign direct investments in Romania was 4.18 pct, ranking 7th after Holland, Austria, Germany, Cyprus, France and Spain.
The value of Greek investments in Romania – including investments by subsidiaries of Greek firms based in third countries – exceeded 4.0 billion euros, ranking Greece fifth or sixth among foreign investors.
