Power connection inaugurated on Greek island of Mykonos

“Greece is closing a circle. After a very difficult eight year period for the economy and the community, a recovery path is opening up on a steady basis and the energy sector will be an active part of this rebound,” noted Energy Minister Giorgos Stathakis on Wednesday, speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Mykonos power interconnection with the Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE), ANA reports.

The first phase of the power interconnection of the islands of Cyclades that includes the island of Syros connection with Lavrio and the island of Tinos as well as the connections Syros-Paros and Syros-Mykonos was completed on May 9.
