Greek Government Vice-President and Economy and Development Minister Yiannis Dragasakis had a meeting with the Qatari Ambassador in Athens Abdulaziz Al-Naama at the economy ministry on Thursday to discuss the progress of talks on an Agreement for the Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments between Greece and Qatar, ANA reports. According to a ministry announcement, the agreement is being drafted in accordance with the European framework for investmentment agreements between EU member-states and third countries.
They also discussed bilateral economic relations and the prospects of increasing Qatar’s investment presence in Greece, in tourism, infrastructure, energy and the financial sector, as well as ways to boost trade relations and the penetration of Greek products in Qatar’s market.
