The procedure for the sale of the lignite production units in Greece is moving ahead smoothly, and the Public Power Corporation (PPC) will be ready to assume its obligations, PPC’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Manolis Panagiotakis told Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
Panagiotakis announced that the bids will be submitted on January 23 and he called on European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager to intervene for a speedy decision on behalf of the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission regarding points of the process that are of particular interest to potential investors.
