The new Greek government plans to support the gold mining works at Skouries mines in the Halkidiki peninsula, and to respect all necessary environmental rules, as the prime minister has already committed to, Environment and Energy Minister Kostis Chatzidakis told investor Eldorado Gold on Tuesday, according to ANA.
Chatzidakis and Deputy Minister Gerasimos Thomas met with Eldorado Gold President & CEO George Burns, as well as high-level officials of the company’s subsidiary in Greece.
