Greece on Thursday signed two loan agreements with the European Investment Bank (EIB) worth 330 million euros, ANA reports.
The EIB loans – for the construction of a new airport in Heraklion and for priority investment in Greece – were signed at the finance ministry in Athens by EIB Vice President Andrew McDowell, responsible for lending operations in Greece, and Greek Finance Minister and EIB Governor for Greece Christos Staikouras. The first deal was also signed by Kostas Karamanlis, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, while the second was signed by Yannis Tsakiris, Deputy Minister of Development and Investments. Adonis Georgiadis, Minister of Development and Investments, was also present.
