Greece is now becoming a hub in the new digital world, Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Wednesday in a statement on Lamda Helix acquisition by Digital Realty, ANA reports.
He noted that a decision by Digital Realty, one of the largest companies in the world in data centres, to expand its activities to Greece by acquiring the country’s largest data centre services provider, Lamda Hellix, so they can jointly carry out major data centre investments, is turning Greece into a hub in the new digital world. Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ government, from the first moment, made it a priority to attract foreign investments and promote Greece in the new digital world. These goals were met and, despite the pandemic, investment interest in Greece is increasing, mostly from the United States,” he noted.
