Greek Minister at Economist conference: Investments up 8.6 pct despite pandemic

The Hellinikon project will change Greece’s image, creating a new mini-capital within the capital city of Athens, said Development & Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis, speaking at the Economist’s 25th Roundtable with the Government of Greece conference held in Athens on Friday., according to ANA.

The minister pointed out that some 10,000 jobs will be created during construction and 70,000 jobs during its full operation.

On the country’s economy, the minister said that investments went up by 8.6 pct in 2021’s first quarter, in spite of the pandemic.
