“French and Greek companies in the field of defense must contribute to a common technological and industrial basis, which is indeed a necessary condition for the strategic autonomy of the Europeans”, French ambassador, Patrick Maisonnave, said at the reception he gave on the occasion of the International Defense and Security Exhibition (DEFEA) in Athens, ANA reports.
The French ambassador stressed in front of representatives of the French defense industry participating in the exhibition – including the giants NAVAL GROUP, Dassault, and MBDA – and of senior officials of the military leadership of Greece and France, the scope, time depth, and extraordinary quality of the Greek-French defense cooperation, while noting that the Greek government demands greater participation of the Greek industry in all future defense contracts and the French industry is committed to this.
