The President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Nadia Calvi?o will visit Athens on Thursday, 21 November, to discuss with government officials new investment initiatives aimed at supporting the Greek economy, ANA reports.
This marks Calvi?o’s first official visit to Greece as EIB Group President. Her agenda includes meetings with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Minister of Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis to explore shared priorities for boosting economic resilience and fostering sustainable growth.
According to an EIB briefing, recent agreements in Greece include support for the modernization of water management and transport infrastructure. Future priorities focus on affordable and sustainable housing, climate action, energy investments, and facilitating access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises. Since 1963, the EIB has invested nearly 50 billion euros in Greece, advancing economic growth, social cohesion, and the quality of life for citizens.
