The large tourism investment of the company “Lindos Hotels S.A.”, in the Pavlaki – Agios Georgios Gennadiou area of ??the Municipality of South Rhodes, has been completed and officially certified by the Ministry of Development. The investment, with a total cost of 37,544,850 euros, concerns the establishment of a luxurious 5-star hotel unit, with a capacity of 300 rooms and 525 beds, and was implemented with the support of the development law L.3299/2004.
According to the decision of the General Directorate of Development Laws and Foreign Direct Investments, signed on October 10, 2025, the company was certified for the completion of the investment plan, with a completion date of November 30, 2022, and the start of the production operation of the unit.
The investment was financed through a grant of 12,014,352 euros, an amount corresponding to 32% of the total eligible cost. The company’s own participation amounted to 10,031,983.92 euros (26.72%), while the bank loan – through Alpha Bank of Rhodes – covered 15,498,514.08 euros (41.28%).
During the completion stage, the new unit created 148.98 equivalent work units (EMU), exceeding the legal requirement for the creation of at least half of the new jobs in the first year of operation. The company is now obliged to maintain 49.58 EMU for five years after the completion of the investment.
It is worth noting that, as follows from the decision (ADA: 6ΦΧΧ46ΝΛΣΞ-δ2Σ), the payment of the final grant installment of 6,007,176 euros is approved, an amount that results after deducting the advances and the first installment that had already been disbursed.
At this point, it should be emphasized that the investment of “Lindos Hotels S.A.” is part of the new generation of large tourism projects being implemented in Rhodes and contributing decisively to strengthening the local economy, creating stable jobs and upgrading the island’s tourism product, at a time when the Dodecanese is attracting more and more capital in the luxury hospitality sector.
