The Ministry of Tourism has approved applications for aid for investment projects for accessible beaches in Rethymno, Parga, Amphipolis and Amfilochia, within the framework of the action Improving and Modifying Accessibility to Greek Beaches of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, which is financed by the European Union – NextGeneration EU.
The above action aims to improve the accessibility of people with mobility problems or disabled people in general, through integrated investment interventions of semi-permanent installations to improve the existing infrastructure.
Among other things, the action includes interventions related to the construction of non-permanent beach access ramps (supply of a non-permanent ramp system for access to the sea for people with mobility problems, supply of a wheelchair ramp system for their access to the sea, etc.), supply of non-permanent auxiliary facilities such as removable changing rooms, portable sanitary facilities and corridors consisting of sections of appropriate length for easy transport and storage during the winter period, necessary equipment for an accessible beach, special signage and other infrastructure elements, as appropriate.
In this direction, the Ministry of Tourism approved the application for support for the investment plan of the company Arion Hotel Tourism Company, which concerns the beach in front of the hotel unit in Adelianos Kampos in Rethymno. The total approved budget of the project amounts to 53,081 euros.
At the same time, the Ministry of Tourism approved the application for support for the investment plan of the company KLOTSONIS BROS & CO. OE, which concerns the location of Chrysogyaliou, Paralia Valtos, The Captains in Parga. The total approved budget of the project amounts to 56,000 euros.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Tourism approved the application for support for the investment plan of the municipality of Parga, which concerns the beach of Ammoudia Fanari. The total approved budget of the project amounts to 69,631.42 euros.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Tourism approved the application for support for the investment plan of the municipality of Amfipolis, which concerns the 2 beaches of Kyani Akti and Nea Kedrylia. The total approved budget of the project amounts to 136,799.43 euros.
Finally, the Ministry of Tourism approved the application for support for the investment plan of the municipality of Amfilochia, which concerns the 4 beaches of Menidi, Bouka, Amfilochia and Spartos-Koulouri. The total approved budget of the project amounts to 273,629.72 euros.
