Strong Interest from Greek Investment Institutions in the CSE and its Listed Companies

Strong interest was shown by investment institutions and organizations in Greece for the Cyprus stock market and the listed companies of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE), at the Road Show organized by the CSE on Wednesday, December 3 in Athens, with the participation of seven listed companies.

In his address, the Chairman of the CSE, Mr. Marinos Christodoulides, referred to the major structural and technological changes implemented in recent years, aimed at creating a modern, flexible, and reliable stock exchange. He also emphasized that the privatization process of the CSE creates prospects for further development, while highlighting the close cooperation between the Cyprus and Athens Stock Exchanges.

The Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), Mr. George Theocharides, also delivered an address, stressing that the Cypriot market operates fully in line with the European regulatory framework.

The Ambassador of Cyprus to Greece, Mr. Stavros Avgoustidis, also attended the event and offered a brief greeting, highlighting the ongoing strengthening of economic and business ties between the two countries. He also stated that the Embassy supports all initiatives that promote cooperation between Cyprus and Greece.

The Deputy General Manager of the CSE, Mr. Nikos Trupatsas, presented the latest market developments, noting that the General Index of the CSE has posted a 28% increase in 2025. He also presented data demonstrating that the CSE is an attractive market both for companies seeking financing and for investors seeking profitable investment opportunities.

During the Road Show, one-to-one business meetings were held between the listed companies and institutional investors, analysts, fund managers, and other financial entities from Greece.

A total of 45 meetings took place, confirming the growing interest of the Greek investment community in the Cypriot market.

After the conclusion of the Road Show, the Chairman of the CSE, Mr. Christodoulides, expressed his full satisfaction with the level of participation and interest, noting that such initiatives enhance the extroversion of the CSE and promote the international profile of listed companies. Similar initiatives, he added, will continue both within and outside Cyprus.

Representatives of the listed companies also expressed their satisfaction, emphasizing the value of the contacts they made with Greek investment institutions.
