Xi beach in Kefalonia is among the 20 strangest in the world, according to a recent publication by Travel + Leisure magazine.

The leading travel magazine describes Xi Beach as follows: “On the Ionian island of Kefalonia, Xi Beach is an interesting study in color contrast: stark white clay cliffs, red sandy shore, and jaunty umbrellas. This is a popular retreat for summer sun-worshippers, especially in the wake of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, which was filmed on the island.”
