Cyprus and Greece have signed a protocol for Sports Cooperation on Tuesday in Nicosia, a press release from the Cyprus Sports Organisation (CSO) said.
The CSO said that the Protocol was signed by the CSO President Kleanthis Georgiades and Greek Deputy Minister for Sports Giorgos Vasiliadis.
Georgiades thanked the Greek state for its steadfast and unwavering support to Cyprus, assuring that “we will do our utmost to fully implement this protocol, which is important for both countries.”
He noted that the protocol will guide them towards a broader and more effective cooperation in all sport sectors” as the exchange of athletes, information, knowledge, and experience.
Vasiliadis thanked Georgiades and the Cyprus Sports Organisation in general and described his first official visit to Cyprus as substantive and effective.
He noted that the signing of the protocol is the result of the cooperation of the people of Cyprus and Greece who have a fraternal relationship and that they discussed various issues for expanding and enriching their cooperation in fields of common interest.
