First snowfall is reported in far northern Greece

The first snowfall of the 2017-18 season in Greece was reported over the weekend at the Nymfeo (Nymfaio) district of extreme northern Greece, in Florina prefecture, as the first mountain tops were dressed in white as dawn broke on Sunday morning. The temperature in the prefecture’s capital, also called Florina, dropped to 6C.
