Two Greek cities are among the 20 most affordable destinations in Europe for romantic trips, according to a survey by Hoppa travel website.
Chania and Athens ranked 6th and 20th respectively, taking into account the average cost of accommodation, food and drink per person per night, making them ideal destinations for lovers on Valentine’s Day.
Chania has an average cost of £ 99.34 and Athens of £ 133.35.
The average cost for an overnight stay of two people in a hotel in Chania is 70 pounds, making it the 6th most affordable romantic city in Europe, after Kiev (56.97 pounds per night), Bucharest, Sofia, Istanbul, and Andorra La Vella.
On the other hand, Paris and Venice, are the most expensive choices at a cost of £ 212.84 and £ 276.48, respectively.
