“Creon” weather front with heavy snow hits central parts of Greece

A low-pressure weather front named “Creon” is bringing storms and snow to Greece from early on Thursday.

Heavy snow has fallen in central parts of Greece and meteorologists warn that extreme weather conditions will expand across the southern and eastern parts of the country late on Thursday and Friday.

Parts of the prefectures of Evritania and Fthiotida are under a blanket of snow while in Attica heavy rain is forecast in the next 24 hours.
