The meteorological service of the Athens National Observatory (meteo.gr) on Friday announced the operation of its first meteo weather station outside Greece, specifically in Sydney, Australia, ANA reports.
The new station (http://www.meteo.gr/stations/sydney) will give details about weather conditions in an area of the southern hemisphere where many Greeks live.
The Observatory’s aim is the to expand the weather station network outside Greece and the researchers have called on members of Greek communities across the world that can suppport this effort to contact them.
