Funding of health spending in Greece accounted for 8.45 pct of the country’s GDP in 2016, up from 8.19 pct in 2015, Hellenic Statistical Authority announced on Friday, according to ANA.
The statistics service noted that total funding of health spending grew 7.3 pct in 2016 from 2015, after a 2.4 pct decline in total private funding in the year. The public sector’s contribution in total funding grew to 61.3 pct in 2016 from 58.3 pct in 2015, while the private sector’s contribution fell to 38.2 pct from 39.9 pct, respectively.
