“Culture and the actions implemented add value to the tourist product of Greece,” Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura underlined on Tuesday in Chania, where she attended the official presentation of the choice of the Cretan city for the organization in 2020 of the Council of Europe’s 10th annual international advisory forum on “Cultural Routes”.
The forum has so far been hosted two more times in Greece, in Delphi. “Cultural routes are important, because through them Europe is united,” the minister noted, adding: “This tourist spike, which has taken place over the past three years, is primarily due to our culture.”
