Dark Tourism: US theme park challenges people to spend 30 hours in a coffin

Six Flags theme park in St Louis, Missouri USA has opened a unique new attraction.

It’s not a big scary roller coaster or a huge log flume no, it’s a coffin. Yes, you’ve read correctly. A coffin.

The park is offering six brave visitors the chance to put their endurance to the test by staying inside a casket for 30 consecutive hours on October 13.

People will have to be in the coffin from 1 pm on the Saturday until 7 pm the next day.

The contest is part of the parks Fright Fest event while the park will at least provide the participants with:

  • – 2? x 7? ‘slightly used’ coffins
  • – Meals, snacks, drinks
  • – One six-minute bathroom break every hour
  • – Phone charging stations
  • – Random visits by ‘Fright Fest Freaks’

In addition, they can bring your own pillows, sleeping bags and blankets in order to remain comfortable.

Survivors will be placed into a prize draw with one lucky person winning $300, two 2019 Gold Season passes, a Fright Fest prize package, two VIP Haunted House passes, and a ticket for two to ride the “freak Train” for Freak Unleashed.

If you think you are up to the challenge and over at least 18-years-old then you can register to take part here.
