Indian film producer Ravinder Jeet Dariya met on Wednesday with Panagiotis Chadzipetros, deputy director of the Argosaronic Islands region, to discuss the possibility of filming on the islands and in Trizinia which is administered by the same region, ANA reports.
Dariya met with Chadzipetros at the latter’s office escorted by Vasiliki Batafaki, secretary general of the Guiseppe Sciacca Awards handed out annually in the arts, culture, science and technology in Rome, and his own assistant, Vicky Merkati.
The proposal was welcomed by the Greek official, whose region of jurisdiction includes Aegina, Poros, Hydra, Spetses, Kythera and Trizinia, among others. Both referred to their countries’ ancient histories and cultural similarities.
Dariya also paid a visit to Greece in 2017, invited by the Indo-Hellenic Society for Culture and Development to Athens, to investigate the possibility of producing Indian films and holding Indian weddings in Greece contributing thereby to the promotion of the Indian tourism in Greece, according to the Society’s web page.
