The Speleological Association of Thessaloniki “Proteas” has issued a public invitation for a rare subterranean tour of the cave of Drakotrypa in Vrasna, Thessaloniki prefecture, on Sunday, ANA reports.
The programme includes transfer by bus to Vrasna as the cave is very near to the village’s centre. Visitors will be separated into two groups for the tour of the cave, which has very narrow passanges, natural formations and bat colonies.
Organizers will also offer a photography seminar on caves, a tour of the Rock Museum of Vrasna, and a demonstration of techniques utilized by specialists when exploring caves where the use of ropes and special equipment is necessary.
