Greece’s national team will be travelling to Minsk, Belarus for the 2nd European Games 2019 in the prime minister’s state aircraft, after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Thursday ordered state intervention so that the team could get to the Games.
Earlier on Thursday, the Greek athletics federation SEGAS announced that it was pulling the Greek team out of the European Games because it was unable to find airline tickets to get them to Minsk.
