On Sunday 2nd of June 2019, more than 50 athletes from 9 clubs around Sydney competed in the NSW Pankration Championship, according to greekcitytimes.com.
Following a full day of action, the championship was won by the Fight Lab, with Zeus Martial Arts Academy coming second.
The Fight Lab won the state title for the second year in a row, with 16 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.
“The Fight Lab, with the reinforcement from the Little Spartans, won the State Championship second time in a row. I am very proud. I must also say the little Spartans who competed, fought with hearts worthy of real Spartans,” noted Kon Pappy, former champion wrestler, professional boxer and owner of ‘The Fight Lab’.
