TAMPA, Fla. – The Greek Orthodox parish of St. John the Baptist in Tampa Florida welcomed enthusiastically His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America during his first pastoral visit on Sunday, January 5. The Archbishop officiated at the Divine Liturgy assisted by Fr. Stavros Akrotirianakis, presiding priest of St. John’s parish, Archimandrite Athenagoras Zilaskopoulos, chaplain of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, Fr. Straton Dorozenski, Archdeacon Elefterios Constantin, and Deacon Gedeon Varitimos. The parish consists of 400 families.
