A new exhibition space featuring mostly artifacts from ancient Greece was inaugurated on February 12 at the Paul-Val?ry University’s Mus?e des Moulages in Montpellier, int.ert.gr reports.
Behind four display cases, in a space that dominates the rest of the museum, are marble sculptures, painted vases, terracotta statuettes, mainly from ancient Greece, dating from the 6th to the 1st century BC. In addition, the museum exhibits its permanent collection with rare pieces, busts, vases and plaster decorations, copies of antique works made in the 19th century.
Founded in 1890, the Mus?e des Moulages celebrates its 130th anniversary this year and continues to renew itself.
