With a physical presence for Greek participants and online for the rest, the European program for the development of screenplays and film projects, MFI Script 2 Film Workshops, will take place this year in Nisyros, from July 20 to August 2, according to ANA.
“After 22 years of success, the Mediterranean Film Institute (MIK), in defiance of the challenges posed by the coronavirus, is once again organizing the European program for the development of screenplays and film projects,” it announced.
Despite the general uncertainty, the number and level of applications were extremely high, making the choice difficult. Specifically, out of 103 applications and 166 creators (screenwriters, directors, and producers) from 28 countries (among which Argentina, Cuba, and Zambia for the first time), 60 filmmakers were selected with 25 film scripts, 3 TV series projects, 6 under documentary development and 6 trainee assistant professors.
