Greek PM reiterates commitment to building a new National Health System

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis wrapped up a visit to Epiros Region on Friday with a meeting with local government officials, ANA reports.

He was also briefed on the progress of major projects in the area and met with local residents as well.

Mitsotakis also reiterated his commitment to a new National Health System (NHS) that is universal, public, and high-quality, “a commitment that is true today more than ever – we must not forget the weaknesses of the NHS,” as pressure from Covid patients drops. As he said, “now is the time to invest in a new NHS, with technology as the catalyst,” and he expressed optimism for the area’s and Greece’s future prospects.
