Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s scheduled visit to Athens on November 20-25 will be carried out as planned, but his visit to Thessaloniki and Mt. Athos is postponed due to the worsening coronavirus pandemic, the Patriarchate announced on Saturday, ANA reports.
In Athens, Bartholomew will attend several honorary events that will be held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his ascension to the Patriarchal Throne.
