Line 1 of the Athens metro (former Isap) is now operating between Piraeus and Irini stations, the managers Stasy SA said on Tuesday, according to ANA.
The electric train faced operational issues after Monday’s snowstorm and its aftermath, which forced the gradual cancellation of stops as of Monday. Still remaining out of operation are the stops of Neratziotissa, Maroussi, KAT, and Kifissia.
In its Tuesday afternoon announcement, Stasy also said that Athens metro Lines 2 and 3 (red and blue) operate as usual, except for the segment going to and from the airport, as the outbound trains stop at Doukissis Plakentias.
Concerning the tram, the lines going to Syntagma stop at Syngrou-Fix instead, and the ones going to Voula stop at Paleo Dimarcheio stop in Glyfada because of continuing electrification problems after a tree fell on the lines.
The Syntagma-Pikrodafni tram stops at Leoforos Vouliagmenis stop, instead of Syntagma Square. The Asklipio Voulas-Akti Possidonos line stops at Kolimvitirio stop, instead of Asklipio Voulas.
