Oscar-winning actor Emma Stone said it was “a great gift” to work with Greek internationally acclaimed director Yorgos Lanthimos, at a press conference in Athens on Thursday, ANA reports.
Stone was in Athens for the presentation of the Oscar-winning director’s film “Bleat” (“Vlichi” in Greek), commissioned by the Greek National Opera (GNO) and NEON for the program “The Artist on the Composer”, which involves live performances of music.
The actress opted to enjoy EuroLeague Playoffs basketball on Wednesday night. She attended the Quarterfinals best-of-five series Game 5 featuring Olympiacos versus AS Monaco.
She portrayed Abigail Masham in the film The Favourite co-produced and directed by Lanthimos. Her role led to getting nominated for the Best Supporting Actress in the 2019 Academy Awards, BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, among others.
