The first snow of the year has covered the landscape of northern Greece’s ski resorts as a result of the temporary worsening of the weather conditions, ANA reports.
The first snow fell on Tuesday at Kaimaktsalan, Seli, 3-5 Pigadia, Vassilitsa, Falakro, Lailias, and Metsovo at altitudes over 1,500m. The very high temperatures for the season kept skiers and snowboarders away from the pistes but if the current weather conditions hold and snow coverage improves, then some ski resorts will open immediately.
