The discussion on the bill introducing changes along the entire spectrum of the primary sector that are “crucial for Greek agricultural development” will begin at the parliament’s Standing Committee on Production and Trade on Tuesday, ANA reports.
Some of its provisions include the following:
– Animal husbandry parks to house animals, which will support the sustainability of small animal husbandry businesses
– Controlling bureaucracy and providing solutions to the chronic issue of fisheries court appeals
– Regulating fishing tourism and aquaculture
– Regulating issues for farmers who have been affected by fires and floods in the last few months and have come under an emergency state
– Creating an adequate framework for the simultaneous production of agricultural goods and operating photovoltaics (solar panels) at high-production lands
– Resolving and updating operational, regulatory, and legislative issues of any kind, and
– Setting up Farm Departments at trade chambers to boost agricultural entrepreneurship.
