Students from Yale University, led by Professor of Architectural Design, Nader Tehrani, who holds the Eero Saarinen Chair, visited the iconic building of the former airport as well as the Experience Center in Ellinikon (The Εllinikon), ANA reports.
According to Lamda Development, their trip took place as part of an investigation into the profound influence of US modern architecture in Greece. The Airport, a masterpiece by the famous Finnish architect Eero Saarinen, stands as a symbol of foreign architectural splendor in the 1960s.
