The points of interest of Attica will be included in an electronic map that the Region of Attica decided to create, with the main purpose of promoting the cultural heritage of the country.
To this end, the Ministry of Culture approved the request of the Region for a permit for filming, aerial filming, photography, and aerial photography, free of charge, at the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), under the jurisdiction of the Service for Modern Monuments and Technical Works of Attica, as this action does not cause direct or indirect damage to the monument. In addition, the Ministry granted a license to use the audiovisual material that will be produced.
It is noted that in the case of aerial photography and aerial filming using Unmanned Aircraft Systems – UAS, drones, the applicant shall submit, before the filming, to the competent Service of the Ministry of Culture, the relevant licensing act of the Civil Aviation Service.
At the same time, during the implementation stages of the above action, any intervention in parts and members of monuments is not permitted, as well as the affixing of numbering signs or other signs, the movement of scattered stones or other elements, objects, exhibits, supervisory or supporting material and other elements from the monument, its surrounding area or from the museum, the support of scenic elements and scaffolding on the monuments, as well as the use of scenic structures.
Furthermore, the import and use of fireworks, smoke bombs, flares, and generally flammable materials, as well as the lighting of candles and torches, the use and throwing, for special staging tricks, of materials that are difficult to collect, such as, for example, Styrofoam, paper mache, etc., and the intervention in the electrical installations within the monuments, as well as their surrounding area, is not permitted.
Also, during the filming and preparation, the applicant is responsible and takes the required safety measures for the protection of both the monument and the participants or bystanders, according to the instructions of the competent Service of the Ministry of Culture.
Finally, the filming must have civil liability insurance, which covers the employees and the entire production in general.
