On February 23rd, the 10th Lycabettus Run Race is scheduled to take place on Lycabettus Hill, with the support of the Culture, Sports and Youth Organization of the Municipality of Athens.
Specifically, the race, which has become an institution and is expected to attract both sports enthusiasts and foreign visitors to the city of Athens, follows emblematic routes on Lycabettus Hill, which take the breath away of the participants, as they open up impressive views of the city.
In detail, the starting and finishing area of ??all distances is located in front of the St. George Lycabettus Lifestyle Hotel, on Kleomenos Street, while the distances that make up the race are as follows: Trail 4.5 kilometers and 9 kilometers, Road 5.5 kilometers and 11 kilometers, Relay 11 kilometers (2 by 5.5 km) and Trail Relay 9 kilometers (2 by 4.5 km).
It is noted that upon their start, the participants in the Road, asphalt distances, run the entire Lycabettus ring road. Correspondingly, the runners of the Trail routes run along the paths of the hill, reach the top at the chapel of Agios Georgios and return to the hotel area.
The starting times of the races are as follows:
-For the 600-meter route, Best Buddies, the starting time is 9:45 a.m.
-For the Road routes which are asphalt and cover distances of 5.5 kilometers and 11 kilometers, the starting time is 10:00 a.m.
-For the Lycabettus Relay route of 11 kilometers, which is also asphalt, with a Relay Race of 2 x 5.5 kilometers, the starting time is at 10:00 a.m.
-For the Trail, dirt routes of 4.5 kilometers and 9 kilometers, the starting time is 11:30 a.m.
-For the Lycabettus Trail Relay dirt route of 9 kilometers, a Relay Race of 2 x 4.5 kilometers, the starting time is 11:30 a.m.
Finally, the end of the event is at 13:30.
