Greece is taking another significant step towards the internationalization of higher education with the creation of a pioneering English-speaking postgraduate program that aspires to elevate the country to a hub of know-how, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
This is the MSc in Sustainable Engineering and Climate Change, organized and implemented by the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, based in Chania. The program is one of the few similar offers at a national level, fully harmonized with the requirements of the modern international market in the field of environmental engineering and sustainable development.
The master’s degree is specialized in four key pillars:
- Environmental Risk Management
- Energy Efficiency and Infrastructure Sustainability
- Climate Change Adaptation Technologies
- Environmental Policy and Spatial Planning
With a flexible full-time or part-time structure (duration 3 or 6 semesters, respectively) and the possibility of distance learning, the program is aimed at students from all over the world who wish to combine high-level academic training with an international perspective.
